BlueFire SMS utilizes widely deployed SMS technology to communicate with consumer on their mobile phone. With BlueFire SMS consumer can obtain text based coupons and other promotional items on demand.

BlueFire SMS takes advantage of widely deployed Short Message Service (SMS) or text messaging system to deliver content to customers' phone.

BlueFire SMS enables delivering of SMS or text messages to users' mobile phone. User needs to send a SMS code in a SMS message to specified number with the code. Once the code is received by BlueFire SMS, it returns message or coupon for that SMS code.  SMS code is short 3-6 letter text and or numerical string (for example "1234", or "Demo").

Although, SMS/ text messages are plain text messages, it is possible to facilitate sending of rich media via SMS. The process involves embedding a WAP (wireless access protocol) link into SMS message. Most phones will recognize the WAP link in SMS and may allows user to download appropriate content.
